Playtopia MGA is Africa's first annual destination Indie Games & Immersive Arts festival and conference. It is a gathering of the global indie game development community and B2B giants to network, collaborate and exhibit the wonderful creations and ideas this industry has to offer. With a special focus on Africa, Playtopia MGA strives to bring local content to the forefront and attract the world players into our backyard to work with local developers and businesses to unlock the unlimited potential that is Africa.

Delegates are invited to attend the Playtopia talks, panels and workshops hosted by both international and local creative experts in the field of Indie Game development and the MGA talks are aimed at business development of gaming within the African context featuring leading academic and entrepreneurial leaders from around the world.
Collecting the best of local art and games alongside international contemporaries, Playtopia MGA promises to be one of a kind African gaming and tech art celebration. Gamers, developers and event goers will have a plethora of games, music, food and experiential art to enjoy. Exhibitions by some of South Africa’s top interactive artists, 30+ alternative, art and party games, a Super Friendship Arcade with games played on custom controllers, VR rooms and music entertainment in our extremely awesome party pond!
